Teacher Talk Tuesday

🩃 A Quick Thanksgiving Reminder Every Teacher Needs

Good Morning Y’all,

As Thanksgiving approaches, I encourage you to take a moment to breathe. Not the rushed “between classes” inhale
but the kind that clears the fog and lets you see what’s real. Teaching can pile pressure on our shoulders so fast we forget to look up. Deadlines, grading, emails, discipline issues, and a hundred little fires can make us lose sight of the bigger picture.

But please understand
you’re surrounded by reasons to be grateful, even on the tough days.

Be thankful for the student who finally understood the concept you’ve been hammering away at.

Be thankful for the coworker who makes you laugh in the hallway.

Be thankful for the families who trust you with their kids.

Be thankful for the chance— every single day— to help someone grow into a stronger version of themselves.

And most of all, be thankful for your perseverance. You show up when it’s hard. You love kids even when it stretches you. You give more than you take. That’s not normal
 that’s extraordinary.

So before Thanksgiving hits, take inventory of what truly matters. Write it down. Say it out loud. Share it with someone. Let it lift your spirit and remind you why your work matters so deeply.

Keep going. Keep leading. Keep shining.

You’re making a bigger impact than you realize.

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all.
